Burnishing Chemicals and Compounds for Vibratory Finishing
Description
Burnishing Chemicals and Compounds
These burnishing chemical compounds are formulated to develop cosmetic color on metals when used with vibratory deburring equipment. All burnishing compounds include cleaning and oxidation prevention agents.
All burnishing chemical compounds are completely and rapidly biodegradable and non-hazardous when being used with vibratory finishing machines.
Recycling chemical burnishing compounds can be deleterious to results, but if desired a biocide can be added to any of these compounds to prevent spoilage in a recycling system.
The liquid chemical compounds from Giant Finishing are available in 1, 5, and 55 gallon containers.
Burnishing Chemicals for Vibratory Finishing
855-B Burnishing Compound
Mildly acidic, liquid burnishing compound with inhibitor for use with vibratory finishing equipment. Low foaming in most applications, it maintains steel burnishing media in a highly reflective, bright condition.
837-B Burnishing / Cleaning Compound
Great for aluminum. Alkaline cleaning & burnishing compound with inhibitor for use with vibratory finishing equipment. Low foaming in most applications, mainly used for precision cleaning with hard porcelain media.
GF-224 Burnishing Compound
A liquid cleaning and deburring compound for use with non-metallic medias in vibratory deburring and tumble finishing equipment. Uniquely formulated low foaming chemical to eliminate plastic and synthetic media foaming problems and maximize plastic and synthetic media efficiency. Free rinsing, leaving no troublesome powdery residue. Non-chelated for ease of waste treatment. Excellent for Anodizing.
B-57 Burnishing Compound
A mildly acidic liquid burnishing compound with inhibitor for use with vibratory finishing equipment. Low foaming in most applications, it maintains steel burnishing media in a highly reflective, bright concentration.
Safety and Disposal of B-57 Burnishing Compound
B-57 is completely safe and biodegradable. The pH is similar to that of some internationally famous soft drinks, and is achieved using natural acids found in citrus fruits. This compound will cause a stinging sensation on open cuts and sores, and may cause mild transient eye irritation; this is why we recommend safety glasses and rubber gloves when using B-57. It is safe to put in the sewer to a water treatment facility. Any effluent should be checked for metals or oils removed from the parts processed that the treatment facility might require to be removed before disposal.
M-215 Burnishing / Cleaning Compound
This slightly alkaline compound can be used with steel, plastic, ceramic and other media for cleaning, deburring and burnishing both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It contains extra strength detergents that will clean any soil but they are mild enough to be used with any metal and any media. At concentrations of 1/2 to 1-1/2 ounces per gallon of water M-125 will also prevent corrosion both during and after processing.
P-21 Cleaning, Deburring & Burnishing Powder
P-21 is formulated to clean most soils from parts and media while deburring with ceramic, plastic or other media. It is specially formulated to leave a desirable cosmetic color and shine on the part. Its proprietary system of inhibitors will also keep the part looking like new. Can be used in a horizontal barrel.
